Wifi does not switch to strongest signal
Router 1 -73dB interfering signal -79dB
Router 2 -24dB interfering signal -79dB
exactly same wifi setup, except different network names and IP Range
Macbook Mid 2012 Retina with macOS10.13.5 is not switching to the stronger Router signal, not even after 30min.
I´m sick of it.
For years now I´m clicking around cause macbook, iphone and ipad is too dumb to choose the strongest signal in my flat.
I got 2 Routers just with different network names, but exactly same setup, encrypton etc.
(Repeaters are a mess and will always be.)
When i change from my working room to the balcony the working router is away 10m and the balcony just 1m,
as well the signal on the balcony is 49dB stronger now, but would the software get the idea to switch to the stronger signal ?
Not even after an half hour sitting here !!!!!!
I can´t stand it anymore!
I don´t give a .. wether i´ve put them in that row or the other way, it is a 49dB difference!
That means 300 times stronger,
D O Y O U R F . . . . . . J O B !!!!!
This is not a question, i know all about, putting networks in a row, repeaters, tools, using Ethernet instead, environment settings. Please don´t give me advice to solve the problem in another way.
The Wifisoftware just doesn´t do it´s simplest job. It´s an APPLE fail and nothing else and nowhere else to solve.
