Hello LuStage,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about the Apple Magic Keyboard. Yes, that keyboard will work with your Mac computer as long as Bluetooth is on and enabled, it is running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later, has batteries, and it turned on.

This is the manual for your keyboard, which includes the steps to pair the keyboard: Apple Wireless Keyboard

If you are experiencing problems with the keyboard, please check the steps provided in these two articles:

1. If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad isn't working as expected

2. If your Apple keyboard doesn't work

This article will help you change the batteries: Apple Wireless Keyboard, Mouse, and Trackpad: How to install batteries

Once you change the batteries, you will need to turn the keyboard back on using the power button that is located on the opposite side of where the batteries go in. Thanks and have a wonderful day.
