Activation Server Cannot be Reached

I have 2 different Apple devices. (both are older models) but up til today, they worked fine.

Today both have "rebooted" to the activation screen. However, when I tried to go through the activation on both I get an error message saying the Activation Server cannot be reached.

I tried going to apple.com/support and there says apple will be right back???


Is there an issue with my old outdated devices (ipad is about 5 years old) (I phone is about 2 years old) or is there an issue with Apple at the moment?

There have been more than a few post where people got the We will be right back message.


Do you have access to another network where you can try? That has worked for several people.


Try a restart.


Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


Try a forced restart.


Reset Device
