Microphone not working

My microphone does not work properly on my iPhone 6s .The microphone works when I take a Video snap or when I record a video but once I call someone on Snapchat or Houseparty or WhatsApp or any other app you can call on then the microphone doesn’t work at all I tried cleaning it out with a pin but it dosent chamge
