Iphone X A1901 replacement with A1865

I've bought an iPhone X A1901 model in Europe and I'm having cellular reception problems from the beginning of purchase.

I'm expiriencing dropped calls, people tell me they hear me broken....this is happening at my home and my work where I have only 2G cellular reception, unless I step outside of the house where I have LTE signal.

Apple service center tested my device and they say there is nothing wrong with it. They couldn't test under same 2G reception which I'm having at my home.

Since this problem is already discussed in some topics....

Since I'm travelling to the USA in a week..... I would like to know if I can replace an European A1901 model in the USA with the A1865 model?

iPhone X, iOS 11.4

If you would like to purchase a new iPhone in the US, you can do that. However, Apple is not going to let you exchange your current iPhone for the new one. Also, the iPhone purchased in the US only has a valid warranty in the US. Just as the iPhone that you purchased in Europe only has a valid warranty there. The iPhone does not have an international warranty.

First of all, the A1901 is a "AT&T / T-Mobile / Global" model iPhone.

The A1865 model is a "Verizon / Sprint / China" model iPhone.

I don't know what "I can replace" means above. It might mean:

  • Would an Apple Store exchange one for the other? I doubt it.
  • Would the A1865 work better than the A1901 in my area? I seriously doubt it.
  • May I deal with European iPhones in the U.S. Apple Stores? Almost certainly not.

In reply to A1901 vs A1865 difference....

Before the iPhone X I had a iPhone SE (tested also with iPhone 8) and it worked flawlessly on the same spot in the house, while X is dropping calls, speech during the call is broken and so on......

Based on the article posted above, I think A1865 would perform better in low signal coverage, but A1865 is not sold in Europe.

That's why I would like to replace my A1901 model with A1865.
