All browser crash constantly or

ok so as the title says, no matter what browser I use they crash constantly, sometimes they crash and re open several times in around 5 seconds, it’s making my Mac unusable, I’m also getting crashes on Logic Pro X and Final Cut.

i ran a Mac checking software, can’t remember name but it began with an E, the report it gave me was that there were Kernal problems and said it may be a hardware failure. I’m at work and can’t chat to Apple as I don’t have my serial number to hand (so stupid) and need to get this sorted.

ive done the usual things that people have suggested like empty cash, I don’t use any extensions so that’s not an issue, and as I said before safari, chrome and Firefox just crash constantly.

i hope someone can help or shed some light on what I must do next.

thanks in advance peeps

OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

2 things to try before contacting apple, as they will likely have you do them anyway

That software probably was Etrecheck. Download and run Etrecheck again. Copy and paste the results into your reply. Etrecheck is a diagnostic tool that was developed by one of the most respected users here in the ASC and recommended by Apple Support to provide a snapshot of the system and help identify the more obvious culprits that can adversely affect a Mac's performance.

Thanks Greg and rkaufmann87

If the problem comes back, please do the following:

Please post an EtreCheck report of your system and we can look for any obvious issues. Please click the link, download and run the app and then post the complete report it produces as your reply to this message.

That doesn't make sense. You are running 10.12.6 so the combo updater should run.

You an always boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and reinstall the system from there. There will be no loss of your personal files (but it's always wise to have a current backup before running these types of routines).
