iBooks crashes when reading a book

I am using an iPad 6 running iOS 11.4. When I open iBooks and activate a widget (e.g. embed slide show or video), it will crash 100% of the time. Periodically, it will crash when I try to go back to the bookshelf. I have refreshed iBooks cache. I have restarted the iPad. I have deleted and re-downloaded the books. Please note that this happens on books authored by Apple, e.g. "Get Started with Code 1" or Pages for iPad iOS 11.

Why don’t you delete the iBooks app, and install it again. See if still having issues if iBooks app still crashes.

It's an Apple Managed ID on a Supervised iPad, so you cannot manually delete Apple's "default" apps. I have, however, reset and restored several times. I've also tried the profile on other iPads. I've also removed all restrictions on the iPad except the Education payload (which is required for it to work with ASM) and it still happens.
