Best Encoding Format Apple Music

I want to encode my entire music library into iTunes so I'll have access to it via Apple Music. What is the best iTunes encoding format for use with Apple Music? If I import everything as uncompressed WAV files, will they still play though Apple Music? Or, would I be better off encoding everything as AAC or Apple Lossless?

You're best off avoiding .wav as a format as it won't carry a tag, which can make copying files from one library or computer to another unnecessarily complicated. Apple Music supplies streams and downloads in 256k AAC format, so if you upload your files from one computer and use Apple Music to download them to another then you're not going to benefit from ripping losslessly except in your original library. There is no benefit in transcoding music you already have from one lossy format to another. With those thoughts in mind best is up to you.
