Touchbar options completely disappeared!

One day my touch bar went completely blank. I tried restarting my MacBook pro but it did not help so I tried reseting the touchbar through terminal by using the syntax skill "Touch Bar agent" and also skill ControlStrip but it just said "command not found". I tried to fix it by going to system preferences>keyboard and the touchbar options are completely gone! I also couldn't find it in zoom preferences, its like my computer was built with the touchbar strip but without the software!

I also did a factory reset hoping to fix the problem but it did not work.

How can I fix this?

Try Typing this command in Terminal (again):

pkill "Touch Bar agent"

and hit enter

if that does not work reset the SMC and PRAM

Just wondering, does the fingerprint sensor work to unlock the Mac?

You are best of making a new discussion rather than replying to this one with a new question these forms are most active on the weekend

but that sounds like a hardware issue so try phoning apple

ok

please put this into terminal

sudo pkill "TouchBarServer"

it will ask for a password type it and hit enter it wont show that you are typing the password but it did

My 13" 2017 MacBook Pro Touchbar top strip display looks dim, faded, and almost inky looking. Anybody know how to fix the Touch Bar poor resolution problems ??? The icons work if you can see them.

Yup I did all of that and nothing. The fingerprint works sometimes.

I meant to write pkill not skill, sorry that was an error in the question from my part. But yes i did put through the correct command in the terminal.
