Charger Connection Issues

This has been an ongoing issue with my iPod Touch that has gradually been getting worse. What's happening is that the charger is only recognized and active when it's plugged in at a specific angle (pushed in hard, pressed slightly to the left, completely flat). Any other angle the iPod does not show a charger plugged in and doesn't charge. Over time the acceptable angles for charging have gotten smaller and smaller, to the point where even a slight jiggle knocks things out of place and stops the charging. I fear that soon I won't be able to charge the iPod at all.

A few things I've tried

- Using a different charger. The new charger had the same issues as the old one.

- Cleaning the charging port with compressed air.

Any other tips/methods of cleaning the charging port I should try?

iPod touch (6th generation), iOS 11.2.2

Your charging port may have been damaged somehow. I would make an appointment with your nearest Apple store genius bar for an evaluation. They can determine if it is a manufacturer defect.
