Can I restrict payment method on Family Sharing to only the children?

I have a unique situation... my sister and I are guardians for a family member with autism who has their own income. We also are raising my sister’s 11 year old autistic son. We are finally going to be getting the child set-up with an iPhone and are setting up Family Sharing so we can track and monitor his location and online activity.

Are we able to set it up so the child’s purchases will be restricted to moms account but my purchases and our adult charges purchases are on our own accounts?

Any suggestions or ideas?

No. If using Family Sharing, all purchases initiated by members of the family group are charged to the Family Organizer's payment method; whoever that is, unless the person initiating the purchase has iTunes Gift card credit on their account. In which case it will charge the person's gift card credit before charging the Family Organizer's payment method.

There can only be one Family Organizer. However, there can be more than 1 adult in charge if authorizing purchases from Ask To Buy if required. Though once authorized the purchase will be charged to the Family Organizers payment method, and not the authorizing adult's payment method.

When in family sharing, only the credit card or debit card in the Family Organizer's account is used for purchases from all family group members.

If a group member has a payment method as part of their account it will not be used as long as they part of Family Sharing.
