Phishing Emails

Hello out there: I recently received 2 phishing Emails saying that I ordered some software through iTunes, I had called Apple support and they helped me out about this. Anyway, how can I send Apple support copies of the Emails ? I have tried forwarding them to the bad Apple account by mistake, I just do not know how to send the Emails to Apple. I know Apple probably get loads of the phishing type Emails. Should I just notify Apple through phoning techSupport and just delete the Email and forget sending them to Apple ?

Thanks for any help. Gilbert

I select the Phishing email, and then Message menu : Forward as Attachment. That opens a compose window with the phishing email attached. No keyboard short cut for this though. Then reportphishing@apple.com and click send.

Hi, perhaps you can help me out too. A few hours ago i received an email stating that I’d purchased hIdemyass app which I didn’t. I suspect to be a phisingmail so I have report it. However even though I haven’t clicked on the confirmation link I did open the ‘receipt’ attachment. I wonder whether that can cause any problem?

I would really

appreciate any form of help!

That receipt attachment could be a delivery mechanism for malware — or not.

If you opened it in Safari, I would clear all history, and then quit Safari. On the next launch of Safari, press and hold the shift key, and then clear the cache from the Developer menu that you enabled on the Advanced tab of Safari Preferences.

It might be worth running the free Malwarebytes too.
