Old iTunes Gift Card not able to redeem

Found an old ITunes gift card, the plastic one with the person listening to music off the iPod. I scratched off the stuff for the code and typed it into iTune responding to me with and invalid code.

Try : If you can't redeem your App Store & iTunes Gift Card, Apple Music Gift Card, or content code - Apple Support

If you still can't redeem it contact iTunes Support, giving them images of the front and back of the card and its receipt.
