Using iPad 2017, IOS 11.4, latest FB update
When I select the “photo” tab on any of my friends profiles pages, it takes me to a blank page that says “couldn’t load albums”. This applies to all my friends.
I have deleted the app and reinstalled. I have also reported it to Facebook. Has anyone else experienced this?

I found a fix. Sign on to Facebook through your nternet browser not the FB App. I went to Facebook.com and signed in to my account. Photos work that way. I put the icon on my home screen for easy access. Please share if you find this is helpful, at least until or if they ever fix the App.
If you log in to FB from safari and do not use the app you can view albums fine. But if you use the app albums will not load. So I guess something in the FB app for iPad is out of whack.
Actually I have just tried my wife’s iPad (2018) and she has exactly the same issue! So it must be a FB issue.
The same here with the App on my iPad is affected yet my phone works fine. If accessing on a browser it can load and view photos.
The important thing is to report it to Facebook in their help and support centre. Surely they’ve picked it up by now, and are working on a fix, as everyone I know with an iPad has the same issue.
I have also noted that the activity monitor doesn’t work either and get the “can’t connect, retry” message.

Ok guys it’s fixed! I just loaded the new update in the App Store and can now view photo albums again.....
I am having the exact same issue on my iPad. Iphone photo albums are fine but I am getting the same message “couldn’t load album” as you. I’ve reported the problem to FB, restarted & hard restarted my iPad, deleted FB app & then reinstalled it and still I can’t view my friends on FB albums. I can view mine but no one else’s. Also sat down and compared all my settings on my iPhone with my iPad to make sure something wasn’t messed up. Nothing. At least I know I’m not alone.
Yep, the more people that report it, the more chance it will get noticed. I reported it to FB 3-4 days ago, and nothing has happened yet as they had only just released the latest FBupdate. I don’t think it will be fixed that quickly though. There seems to be lots of bugs on the latest iPad version.
No change in mine. Still no photos, and still several privacy setting not working. All I get is, “ can’t connect, retry”
Sure,,you can use your desk top, and your phone to see the photos,...

Yes I have the same issue, irks only on my IPad. No problem with Android or Windows devices.
I have the same problem, also seems related to the update a few days ago. Tried everything you did, no success. Also reported it to FB. I’ll keep an eye on this forum.
Updates has been pushed out and issue is now fixed!

I really wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this as google came up with no similar recent issues. I have also rebooted and done a hard reset, along with reinstalling the FB app.
I’ve got exactly the same problem, started today. Have tried the same as you with no luck. Been through all Facebook settings but can’t find anything wrong. Both my iPads are the same but everything is fine when using android phone!
Any help would be welcome.
