Aux Channel Plugin - Not working

I am running Logic X (on Sierra ). When I create a send from an Audio channel, the aux track is created, but when I try to apply a plugin on the aux channel - it will load the plugin, but will not allow me to change any of the settings in the plugin. It's as if the plugin is 'locked'? Trying to send drums to aux for Parallel Compression; I open the compressor plug in on the aux - and it won't allow me to change anything on the plugin? Ideas? Do I have some setting incorrect. It's always worked fine in the past

John,

There are three things I would try.

First is to go into the plug-in manager and select all plugins and rescan.

Second is to save a copy of the project as a new file or package and see if the problem persists.

Third is to check 32/64 bit compatibility. Meaning making sure that Logic is operating in 64 bit mode rather than 32.

Those are the only things I can think of that might get you stuck/unstuck.

wait 4th thing...... a possibility. If you have any type of antivirus ware disable it When working in Logic.

Thank you for the quick reply. Yes, it's very odd - and it just started happening. I have been using Logic for 7 or 8 years - and upgraded to X in January - have multiple projects where this has not been a problem.

Within the same project, I have a software instrument (keyboard) track that, when I created it, automatically created a couple of aux tracks (one for reverb, delay, etc.). Those 2 aux tracks are fine - and I can use whatever plugins I like, no issue.

But when I select an audio track and either:

- create the aux track by setting up a send

- or manually create the aux track - and then bus the audio track to that aux

I can load as many plugins (Logic standard out of the box, Waves or Soft Tube) as I like on aux track (they appear as 'on' / blue), but when I open the plug in, I can not change any of the parameters within the plug in. It's as if it's 'locked'. Again, both Logic X standard and 3rd party.

I was trying to send 3 guitar tracks to an Aux for Parallel Comp. Any thoughts? Similarly I was trying to do the same with snare top and kick from the drum designer.

Let me know if there is some odd parameter that I can check.

Cheers,

John
