First of all, thanks for your help.
I have a external drive that is not showing up in finder. I can see it from the command line (/Volumes/ExtDrive) as well as from Disk Utils. have run fsck on it and there are no issues. I can even search for files that I know are on that drive and find those files on the drive. However, I just can't get it to show up under the Devices area in Finder.
Any ideas?

How are your external Drives formatted? Did you format them for use on a Mac when you got them, or did you install the crappy software the drive manufacturer bundled with the drive? If they are NTFS and you are using the bundled software, it doesn't work with HS. You'll need to check for an update on the drive manufacturer's website.
If they are formatted for use on a Mac, do they show up in Disk Utility?

General tab for on the Desktop.
Sidebar tab for on the Sidebar.
I tried this, but it still does not show any external drives since installing High Sierra.
