Can you write with Apple Pencil on a screenshot

I have to write on a document that I have opened from internet and then mail that.

Can I take a amscreen shot of the screen and write on it. So that I can mail it after making my notes.


Can Apple Pencil be used only on Notes or there are other ways also

Yes. I just did that on an iPad Pro (2nd gen, iOS 11.4).

I pressed Home and Sleep/Wake at the same time, which left a thumbnail of the screenshot in the corner briefly. I tapped the thumbnail to enter markup, then wrote on the screenshot with an Apple Pencil, saved it to Photos, let it sync to my Mac, and imbedded it below.
