if you purchased a used phone then the original owner needs to remove the activation lock - Turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

seems like the message is clear.. maybe the sales team set up a new apple id for you when you bought the phone, carriers often do that... did that.

You may been to contact apple to see if they can identify the id needed... it should also give you a hint like B******@icloud.com

your apple id works fine, but it is not the apple id the phone needs. At some point a different apple id was used or created and that is the one in the phone. You may feel you only have 1 apple id, but the message is clear.. the id you are using will not unlock the phone, you need to figure out what the right one is

if someone set it up for you they may have types in the wrong apple id, or spelling. This system is not flawed.. you need to find the right apple id it is looking for

log into www.icloud.com find my phone..and then all devices.. if your phone is not listed.. you have the wrong apple id
