Apple watch series 3 Contacts not showing names

So I just fixed the contact issue by going into the iCloud setting a on my iPhone which is iOS 12 b3 and turning off the contacts tell it to keep the iCloud contacts on your phone and then turn iCloud contacts back on this has solved the issue for me. Now watchOS 5 b3 has contacts again and no reinstalling or downgrading required.

Turn off iCloud contacts on phone choose keep contacts on phone feature

Them turn iCloud back on

iOS 12/watchOS 5 beta 4 fixes this issue.

This is a known issue with Watch OS 5 Beta 3, I am having the same issue as well, just be patient wait for the next beta shouldn’t take more than a week and the issue will most likely be resolved.

Unfortunately, in the developer notes does indicate this as a potential problem... its a BETA

You're using the beta so details and problems should be discussed in the private beta support areas, not here in the public forums. However I can tell you one of the standard things about pre release beta software is that some functions are expected to be broken from time to time, and it is not recommended to run beta software on a primary device.
