I followed the instructions to stream music to multiple speakers with airplay from my iPad or iPhone but can stream to only one speaker system at a time. (I am able to stream to multiple speakers from iTunes on my Mac.) Any ideas on how to stream to multiple speakers from the iPhone/iPad?

I'm having the same issues connecting to more than one speaker. I'm on V11.4.1 but when I select a speaker I get the tick mark next to that device, but then if I select another speaker it changes to that device and disconnects from the original speaker.

You mention "11.4.1" which is iOS, this thread is for Mac iTunes.
Regardless, the devices you're trying to connect simultaneously must all support AirPlay 2, which as this time is limited to HomePod, Apple TV 4/ 4K, and a few Sonos speakers. What devices are you trying to connect simultaneously?

Yes, it works for me. What version of iOS is on your iPhone and iPad? You need 11.4 or later for AirPlay 2 support for multiple AirPlay targets.
