You are not speaking to Apple here, this is a user to user support forum, and Apple does not participate here.

Subscribed calendars cannot be edited by the user, or anyone except the creator/owner. If the US Holiday calendar does not meet your needs, then turn it off and subscribe to another calendar that does. However, remember, that no matter what calendar that you subscribe to, you cannot edit it yourself. Difficult to say if you will find one that will meet all of your needs, however the Apple US Holiday calendar is what it is.

It is not a us holiday as shown by the United States governmen. It is an Islamic holida,if you want to observe it go ahead but it is not a USA holida.

The US Holiday calendar is not a US Government holiday calendar. If you wish to have a strict US Government calendar, then look for one of those. However, understand that Easter, and a few others are not going to be on their either. Those are not government holidays, they are religious observances.

The US Government has ZERO official US holidays. The government does not have the power to declare holidays, except for US government employees, and not even for all of them.

I gather that you don't want Good Friday and Easter on the US Holidays calendar, because they are not holidays for US government employees.

I guess you also haven't noticed that the Apple calendar has holidays for 5 religions commonly practiced in the US, not just Roman Christian and Muslim.

No, it's not a Christian nation. This is where that pesky Establishment clause comes in:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,

First Amendment, U.S. Constitution. The U.S. is not Christian or Jewish or Hindu or any other religion. It's against the highest law in the land for their to be a state religion.

And Eid is a holiday celebrated by Muslims all over the world, including in the U.S.

The US is decidedly NOT a "Christian" country. There is no state religion in the US; the founding fathers were very clear about that in both their personal writings and what they placed into the US Constitution. They wanted to make sure that it would never be like England, which DOES have a state religion. Time for you to go read the US Constitution, starting with the First Amendment.

The U.S. government, Congress actually, only has the power to make holidays for federal employees. They do not make holidays for the rest of us. It's not one of the powers that the U.S. Constitution granted them. You might want to consider reading the U.S. Constitution someday. You'd learn about, among other things, the establishment clause.

Yes, Eid is an Islamic holiday, celebrated by U.S. citizens who practice Islam. No one is making you celebrate it. But, it does usually involve lots of good food. Easter (both of them) is a Christian holiday celebrated by U.S citizens who practice the many varieties of Christianity. Yom Kippur is a Jewish holiday celebrated by U.S. citizens who priactice Judaism. Holi is a Hindu holiday, celebrated by U.S. citizens who practice Hinduism.
