Turning off voice over - brand new start up

How do I turn off the voice over that started during the tutorial that was an option when I started up my new Macbook?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

it's under system prefs> speech. just uncheck all options you don't wish to have.

I still do not see how to turn off this feature. I already looked under "Speech" and just don't see anything that applies to this. Any other suggestions? I already tried re-installing OS X to no avail.

I even found a "Voice Over Utility" when looking around System Preferences, but still cannot find any way of turning this feature OFF!!!!

Okay...just in case anyone else suffers this problem - which is VERY annoying...the answer is...hit command F5 and then MUTE the voice over! Thank you, God!

It is also listed in Universal Access in System Pref's (Also, a seach for voiceover in Mac Help will give add'l information)

i press fn button, apple button and f5 at the same time. sometimes u have to do it 2 times or hold them all down for a few moments. make shure you do not have mute on or you will not hear the key words form your speaker "vioce over on " or "voice over off ".
