How do I change my profile pic

If I understand your post correctly, you're trying to change your iCloud profile photo from your iOS device. I'd like to help.
Tap Settings > [Your Name] and then tap Edit on your current profile photo. Select Take Photo or Choose Photo. Select a photo and tap Choose.
You can also change your iCloud profile photo from your computer like this:
iCloud: Change your iCloud photo in Settings on iCloud.com

Thank you for article which worked to update my iCloud profile picture for me.

I don’t recall ever setting one on my account before but I upgraded devices this week using iCloud fullback up, quick start Bluetooth and set up new device by restoring from iCloud backup & my new iPhone (same iOS as old device) had a photo in its profile settings of my Apple ID.

This photo was not me but a friend from my contacts. No other info seems mismatched. Idk how it got set as my profile picture. Apple support helped me remove it and I was fine letting glitch go. Until 10 minutes later I see a new photo under my profile picture. Again not me. This time though, I don’t know who that photo is of.

1. What’s triggering settings to auto update the picture under my profile in iOS 11.4.1 and what are the picture update protocols telling iOS where to grab this picture from? I don’t like glitches

2. Should I be concerned about my device or iCloud security?
