How do you round to the nearest half number in Numbers using a formula?

I am trying to round a number in my numbers table from a number such as 7.355 to the nearest half number such as 7.5 is there a way you can do this using a formula?

HI DM,

Wayne's formula is written to round the number found in cell A1.

It is entered into another cell.

Type the = to open the Formula Editor.

Type the formula (not including the =) into the editor.

Click the green checkmark on the editor to confirm the formula and close the editor.

In the Editor, the formula should display like the one shown on the image below:

If your region uses the comma ( , ) as the decimal separator, change the comma on the formula to a semi-colon ( ; ), and change the point in 0.5 (and the one in 19.70356) to a comma.

Regards,

Barry
