Motu and High Sierra

After getting a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.13.4- I am unable to get any of my Motu hardware to work (MicroBook II, Ultralite, original Traveler).

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Have you downloaded and installed the newest drivers from Motu?

Frustrating indeed. I have a test machine (Mac Mini late 2012, quad i7) running 10.13.6 with a MOTU 828 Mk2 (Firewire).

I completely uninstalled the drivers then installed the latest drivers from MOTU and it's working ok. I did a cold boot after I uninstalled the drivers and I didn't have the MOTU connected when I installed the new drivers.

Reloaded the software, followed all of your suggestions- and still no Motu action. Then I discovered through "About this Mac > System Report > Applications" that all the Motu drivers and software (CueMix, etc) are 32 bit applications. They're the only ones on my machine that won't run. Funny- the System Report > Hardware > USB can actually see the attached devices- but the software can't talk to them.

I have read that page dozens of times. All devices worked well with Logic Pro 10 on my 6 year old MacBook Pro running OS 10.13.6.

I have installed the drivers for both the MicroBook II and the IIc - the devices does not show up in the midi setup or as an input/output device in System Preferences > Sound.

This has been an extremely confusing/frustrating migration and I have submitted a ticket to Motu support.

Thanks- that's my next step.

The odd thing is- I have 2 machines sitting side by side. The both have the latest Mac OS, and they have the same version of the Motu drivers.

When I plug into the USB port of the 6 year old MacBook Pro- the MicroBook II is recognized right away.

When I plug into the USB c port (via an Apple USB-to-USB c adapter) on the new machine - NOTHING.

So I think I'll take your advice and remove all of the Motu drivers from the new machine and start from scratch.

Thanks for your input- appreciated!
