Cannot get it started up the login , it runs like it down lowing something

What is the year/model of your Mac (do not post the serial number)? Can you boot into Internet Recovery - About macOS Recovery - Apple Support ?

Turn the computer on from the back and the Apple sign comes on in the front with a little online under Apple sign and it runs from about halfway on the line and then it starts the wheel turning and it locks up there
Start like tried to update and then stops
