How can I get Safari updates for my older imac running OS X 10.9.5?

How can I get Safari updates for my older imac running OS X 10.9.5? I am using Safari 9.1.3 and cannot see how to update my Safari?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7), using airport express

It's possible you can upgrade to El Capitan:

get El Capitan from the App Store

Also you wouldn't find it under Software Update because it is an Upgrade

That is as high as Safari goes in Mavericks. You would have to upgrade to a higher system - the current is High Sierra but some earlier ones are available: it depends on exactly what model of Mac you have.

Alternatively you could switch to Firefox - that's still supported on Mavericks (for the moment).

Check to make sure your applications are compatible.

Application Compatibility

Also check to make sure there is a compatible driver for your printer.

Do a backup before installing, preferable 2 backups on 2 different drives.

Thank you Roger - I thought I had upgraded my imac to high sierra - see screen shot. About this Mac says I am running 10.9.5 but there is no option to upgrade when I choose 'Software Update'.
