Just got off the phone with someone I assumed was from Apple regarding a new virus that has attacked my Mac. Has anyone else gotten a virus after clicking on an update for a software program? How do you get rid of it?

Apple would not call you, it was a scam. Also no Apple rep would tell you you had a virus as none exist for Mac OS.

Was the "update" for Adobe Flash? If so, it would appear you have downloaded Adware. Did you allow the person you talked to access to your computer?

Yes, it was an update for Adobe Flash. I called the Apple Support "800" number and then someone called back and had access to my computer. I'm heading to the Apple Store in town as son as possible.
