iTunes Play Count not updating since last update 12.8

Hi,


Since the recent update my play counts no longer update.


I predominantly use iTunes on my Macbook pro, have Apple music and play through Homepod. I have tried logging out etc. but it made no difference.


The majority of my music library is from before I had Apple Music.


Any ideas?

I am seeing this same issue. The play count fails to update when the Homepod is being airplayed to from iTunes. If you are using another speaker such as one connected to the headphone jack or the internal speaker there is no issue. If you use just the Homepod or include it with any of your other speakers, then the play could will never seem to update as expected.


Hopefully this is a bug that will be fixed shortly with an update to iTunes.
