How do I extract year and month separately?

Also, does Numbers of a custom format function anymore? You used to be able to set order and format long ago. I am not finding that in current version. Where is this now?

Then you can extract the year like this:

And the month like this:

And you can get the month number like this:

And construct a date (assuming the first day of the month) like this:

Which you can format here:
