Keep getting this message when I try to save a bookmark in Safari 11.1.2. In several iterations have 1. restarted in safe mode, 2. disconnected from internet and then tried to save bookmark, ran Etresoft program, etc. and nothing seems to work. Searched this problem and can't seem to find a solution.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. If it works in another admin account, run/post the Etrecheck report.

Am I to run and post the Etrecheck report from the admin user account I had the issue with or the new one I set up? Also, how do I transfer my data to the new user account?

You are welcome. Run the report in the account you had. I suggest trying to get this fixed first since you probably didn't have Bookmarks to sync in the new account. When you reboot into the original account, see if the syncing has stopped.

Try quitting your VPN.
