Depends on what you want exactly.

If you want to use Cellular in India, then you need to buy :

Model A1889 (38mm)

or

Model A1891 (42mm)

Apple Watch - Carriers - Apple

Depending on where you plan on buying it, they may or may not be available.

This applies ONLY to the Apple Watch with cellular.

Please see Apple Watch - Carriers - Apple for regional model numbers. An Apple Store (real or online) or Approved/authorized Apple Reseller will only supply the correct version. If you want to use in India, buy in India.

There are no external markings on the device to show which regional model it is. Eve the box labels are no help unless you can lookup the serial number in Apple's system - unless you get a clue from the language of the labels, like Japanese or something.

The model A1891 watch looks exactly the same as any other model iof Series 3 Apple Watch there is no difference.

The model that works in India is not sold in Canada, since it would not work with the carriers there, so no point in selling a watch you cannot use on local carriers.

Regional model A1891 is not sold in the North America region (USA/Canada/Mexico). If you want to use in India, buy in India so you get warranty support on the watch. Watches bought outside India may be refused warranty service through Apple India, and you would have to return the watch (in person) to the country where you purchased it.
