Surface Bluetooth Keyboard and IOS

I saw incorrect responses on the question "Can you use a Surface Keyboard on an IPad". The correct answer is it works just fine (with one exception). It pairs easily and is a very comfortable keyboard I use on my Ipad every day.

The only issue I have not solved yet is I have not found a working "paste" (ctrl+v) equivalent yet. I get a square-root symbol instead of having the copied text pasted.
