How can I download mac os 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

I have a macbook pro that I'm trying to get installed up to high sierra. To do this I have to get it to 10.8. I'm currently at 10.6. I can't seem to find ANY way to download 10.8. Anybody have any suggestions? The Apple page was set up to allow the purchase of this version doesn't seem to work. The DVD/CD drive is dead on this machine so I'm looking for a way to download this puppy. There must be SOME way to get this thing, right?
