suddenly the cap key doesn't work when writing a text, now it changes the size of the screen

when I select the cap key to make a capital letter it only changes the screen in stead of making a capital letter

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013), macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

In some particular app, or everywhere? Can you precise "size of the screen"? Zoom?

Just in case, please check:

System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts, and see if some weird keys combination(s) are set for the apps(s) you are using.

System Preferences -> Accessibility, and look for something like Zoom. See if some keys combination seems to you bizarre. Review entirely the Accessibility panel and uncheck all what you don't use/need.
