Is Spotify connected with iTunes?

I got a charge from iTunes on my account. Not sure where it came from. Daughter was looking at Spotify on her phone and then the Spotify started working and I found the charge.

Hey there, Sandra,

After reading your post, I see that your daughter was looking at the Spotify app on her iPhone, and shortly after she started to use it, you saw a charge from the iTunes Store. I understand that you're wondering if Spotify is connected with the iTunes Store. I'm happy to provide you with some information!

While Spotify itself is not tied to iTunes or Apple directly (they are their own company and service), you are able to download the Spotify app from the iOS App Store onto an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The app itself is free, and you can even use it for free to listen to music. However Spotify does offer subscriptions to their service which includes features the free service does not. If your daughter signed up for one of those subscriptions directly through the iOS app, you would be billed through the iTunes Store, not Spotify.

You can verify whether or not she did sign up for a Spotify subscription through the iTunes Store by checking her purchase history: See your purchase history in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support . If she did, you can get information on managing the subscription, including cancelling it, here: View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support .

Have a wonderful day!
