HP printer is ? in dock after upgrade to High Sierra

sincMy HP printer Shows as a ? instead of a picture of the printer of the printer since upgrading to High Sierra. The printer's name shows up when hovering over the question mark but it will not do anything when clicked.

The printer is still in printer preferences. What can I do about this?

iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.5)

Reset the printing system If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support and then re-add the printer
