Sennheiser PXC550 wont pair with Macbook Air

headphones wont pair. Air doesnt see them. Headphones work fine with ipad and imac. Air sees same ipad Bluetooth Intermittently. All within 1 metre of each other... software up to date

Hi,

Before going further, try first to reset NVRAM.

Once done, and restarted, then remove your device from the list of Bluetooth devices in System Preferences -> Bluetooth (you may have to turn Bluetooth on again for that), and redo all the pairing like for a new device

This may be totally another problem, mainly a hardware problem, so please don't forget to report here if the method has worked or not worked.

Thanks to others in Community I tried disconnecting any devices that were paired to the PCX550's and try connecting again. I disconnected my iMac and was able to see the PCX550's on my MacBook Air and pair successfully.

So part of the problem solved. As to why this is necessary? Still a mystery as it didn't appear to be a problem adding them to iOS devices. OSX problem???
