HomePod, Airplay, Family Sharing

How does the HomePod or maybe Airplay 2 work in an environment with multiple ID's that are part of a family share.

This is the scenario

I setup the HomePod with my Apple ID using my iPhone and I'm the family Organizer.

Have a current Apple Music Family subscription, and apple music is shared with the family

I am not home, and my phone isn't connected to the same wifi anymore, (I'm at work as example)

Can the other members of the family play their own custom playlists from their devices? If not, would the HomePod need to be reset and setup with their own Apple ID's?

thank you for any insight to this

You can only be logged into one Apple ID at a time on the HomePod.If you are not at home you're HomePod will still be usable, however it is still connected to your personal Apple Music profile. Something you can do is to go into the settings of your HomePod and turn off the "use listening history" option off. Doing this will prevent Apple Music from recommending music to you that others in your household may have played that you might not be interested in.
