Since there are literally hundreds of smart TV models, which types of inputs does yours support? Your 2017 MacBook Air uses a Thunderbolt port for digital video output.
You have the basic options using this port:
- Native Mini DisplayPort output
- DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter
- VGA output using Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter
- Dual-link DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter
- HDMI audio and video output using third-party Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter
The last one I highlighted will, most likely, be the one you will want to use. The Apple Store has the Belkin adapter.
