How can I upload my GoPro videos to MY iCloud Drive from my Dad’s MacBook?

I am away from my home computer, and my go Pro is full of videos that I need to save. My dad has a new MacBook Pro, I have my iPad air two and my iPhone X. To load his videos from my GoPro to my phone takes forever, and I would like to just use the SD card reader on my dad’s MacBook Pro, and then save them on my iCloud drive. Does iCloud not work like dropbox? Or should I pay to get a bigger dropbox account?

iPhone X, iOS 11.4.1, null

Simply log in to the https://icloud.com website through any browser on you Dad's computer and access the iCloud Drive web App there.

You can upload videos and photos directly through the website to your account.

Thank you for the response! It turns out everything is slow!

https://iCloud.com allowed me to login On my Dad’s MacBook, but NOT on my iPad. so The MacBook worked! But if you navigate to iCloud.com on an iOS device, it will not let you see the same iCloud app login. So, I was confused, but know now you have to use a computer. It is uploading now, but seems to happen as slow as connecting directly to the GoPro, but that is the limitation of our internet speed.

thanks for answering my noob and obvious question!

Technically, Apple doesn't want you to access the iCloud.com website from an iPad.

You can however, tap and hold on the refresh icon in Safari on your iPad and a small pop menu will appear. Tap on Request Desktop Site, and it will load the normal login screen. Similar options should be available with other browsers.

In general this is done, because Apple expects you to use the Apps on your iPad that are already connected to iCloud to access it. Apps like Contacts, Calendar, Notes and the Files App to access iCloud Drive.
