I did not ask original question but don't yet know how to navigate this device so I clicked on their question. I know my apple id and password but screen keeps asking for my iCloud password. Don't remember setting one up, but must have because it has a username I recognize but never used. How do I recover iCloud password? This iPad mini was a second hand gift. I'm totally unfamiliar with all of this. tia

I'm not thread jacking anything! I thought I made it clear I had no idea how to navigate apple devices and FYI I said I did not ask original question, and fyi, the answer is NOT one of the 2 answers I see above....I know my apple I'd and password, it's that icloud I can't access.

And really FYI, I know enough to always go to support when I need help....that's how I got here!! It brought me to this page. But obviously you are not support and don't know how to answer a simple question. Geez, must be nice to be so powerful.

If that's right, then why are they asking me to give password to icloud and showing a different username? I don't mean to be rude, I just don't know what I'm doing and your accusations of me hijacking someone else thread just hit me wrong when I've spent so much time trying to use this device AND when I typed in support it brought me to this thread. I have just about given up and gone back to my galaxy. Sorry I troubled you and your thread.
