No input source selected!

Logic Pro X 10.4.1

Mac OS 10.13.6

I want to record Audio onto track 1.

When I hit "record", I get the error "No input source selected!".

This problem came before and had to do with one of the panels. It might have to do with the mixer panel.

The focusrite device is the selected input source in Preferences, so that's good (ideally Logic would just take system default setting for audio input and not try to override this with the webcam or any of the other ridiculous, perverse setting as the input source).

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

Use Logic's Preferences/Audio - Devices to Set the Input and Output device, do not relay on things to just work, take control of the software, also make sure Core Audio is enabled. (Also in preferences Audio)

Thank follow the previous poster's advice and make sure you have the correct input selected for your Recording Track.
