Macbook Pro 13'' heats up very quickly when running photoshop

Hi,

I just installed photoshop and whenever a run it my computer fans start running really fast and it gets so hot im worried it might be dangerous for my laptop so i turn it off. I have the new macbook pro with the touchbar and the following specs:

  • 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5
  • 8 GB 2133 MHz RAM
  • Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 with 1536 MB

Is my computer just not good enough to run photoshop or is there a problem here?

Also when I look at the activity monitor the top process is called "com.apple.photos.ImageConversionService" not sure what this is.

please help

Thanks this worked, but does this mean I cannot use iCloud anymore then? 😟 is there any other solution?

No it does not mean you cannot use iCloud.

What it does mean— we successfully identified the conflicting process 😉

Photoshop is third party. You can search Photoshop forums or ask Photoshop Support for some guidance or google for more information, or wait for an update from Photoshop, and/or wait for an update from Apple.

Maybe you can make some changes to your user Preferences in either iCloud or Photoshop in an effort to see a change.
