Mobile Safari redirects iOS 11.4

Ever since update to 11.4 I’m getting spoofed Safari redirects to non secure versions of secured websites. Evidenced by the lock icon disappearing during longer than usual website opening timeframe.

Tried Apple tutorials, and cleared history, no help. I reviewed history cookies and experimented with deleting them one by one but they recreate after I restart the page. HELP! Is this a virus?
