Wondering why my battery dies so fast and phone freezes up it has not been cracked or anything

I would charge my phone and it would reach 100% and after about 2 mins it would drop to 60 perc and shortly after that it would be dead

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.3

If you are on or close to 80% then that might be the reason.
