The left side of my iPhone speakers do not work.

I have the iPhone 8 Plus and the speakers work fine except for the ones to the left of the charging port. Is this normal? my sister has an iPhone 8 and all her speakers give sound. Why am I having this problem? I haven’t dropped my phone or damaged it in anyway.

Yes, it is normal, as that grill opening is a microphone.

That's because it's a microphone. Not a speaker. Your sister doesn't have a speaker there either. No iPhone does.
