Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I can see all my photos on my laptop 'photos' and when I go into iCloud but only a fraction of these show on the 'photo' app on my phone. The phone app seems to instantly update for photos taken with my camera but not those that come into my photos from any other source.
Ah wait - result !
I previously hadnt had the photo steam on but fixed that before posting as it didnt change, but just spotted Im on low power mode so update was paused - switched off low power mode and now I have them .
So, in case it helps others
- main problem was I didnt have phot stream on
- then when I fixed this , low power mode stopped it working immediately

Check that your iClouds storage isn't full. If iCloud storage is full, it will not sync any more new photos until you remove some of the older ones or upgrade to a larger storage tier. If that's the issue, here's how to upgrade your iCloud Storage:

No it isnt full , I have more than 2/3rds storage available.
Also photos taken 5 minutes ago are showing but those put into photos on my laptop eg by sharing from a download yesterday are not.
Ive checked all the settings as per the above thread but no luck
Hello Was this ever resolved ? I have exactly the same problem - Can see all my photos on laptop photos and within i-cloud but only have a fraction of these showing up on my phone.
