Animoji’s work but Face ID for unlock says it is disabled because it doesn’t work.....

If your "products info" are correct, I would try to uninstall iOS12 beta and see if the problem still persists:

If you get no improvements, since your device is still on warranty, contact your most convenient Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider and have your iPX inspected.
