Why did apple charge me 9.99 instead of 4.99?

I subscribed to apple music a month ago and did it through unidays, to get the 4.99 apple music and it said so, but I just got charged 9.99, I logged in through my college student id and everything. But why did they still charge me 9.99. Why? Can you guys please refund me my 5 bucks back. I'm a UC student so tuition is a lot, and even the smallest money means a lot.

Hello spicecabinet,

I understand that you are having a question on your Apple Music subscription. I listen to music a lot and know how important it is to have your subscription set up correctly, and I'm here to help.

Here is a resource that can assist you:

Get an Apple Music Student subscription

Specifically:

About validation

When you join Apple Music as a student, UNiDAYS, a student validation service, confirms that you're enrolled in a degree-granting university or college1.

Periodically, UNiDAYS re-validates your student status. If UNiDAYS finds that you're no longer a student or if you have a Student subscription for a full 48 months, your subscription automatically becomes an Apple Music Individual subscription.

Get help with your UNiDAYS account

If you need help with your UNiDAYS account, contact UNiDAYS Support.

Have a great day!
